We are a growth-stage start-up looking to expand with the addition of a new Senior DevOps Engineer. We are looking for candidates who have a decent experience and a proven track record in development and maintaining production-level projects.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a rapidly growing company, Pivony is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer.
Here’s what you will be doing
- Develop new api services, write tests, and enable integrations with 3rd party systems by writing Python codes
- Help us identify and develop solutions to improve automation, build harnesses, and simplify our platform and processes
- Define the high-level architecture of the cloud-based platform, and create execution plans to implement and deliver the platform
- Develop, deploy, and provide continuous improvements for Microservices, containers and container orchestration systems.
- Do data driven performance analysis and optimize various services
- Ensure the availability, integrity, security and reliability of our data platform
- Establish metrics to measure the health of the cloud system and supported services.
- Create Kibana or CloudWatch dashboards and alerts.
Professional Requirements
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience; or equivalent experience.
- Experience implementing fully automated, secure, reliable, scalable Hybrid-Cloud Infrastructure
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipeline, automation harness for products and services
- Understanding of cloud networking technologies such as DNS, Firewalls, routing, Proxy Servers, Load-Balancers.
- Ability to multitask and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with rapid technology changes and complex customer requirements.
- Deep understanding of automated testing methodologies, test execution reporting and monitoring infrastructure, tools and workflow
- Experience with Programming Languages - Python
- Experience in L2-L7 network protocols & infrastructure
- Experience in development using open-source and modern cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP etc.
- Familiarity with Security and Governance concerns in public cloud and enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of REST API Services and JSON structures.
- Experience with data systems that support machine learning workflows and data lifecycle is a plus.
- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and reliability of services provided.
